Home School Support Workers

Our Home School Support Team is made up of four dedicated members who are here to walk alongside every family, offering understanding, guidance, and a listening ear, leading to a strong partnership between home and school.

We know that each child’s journey is unique, and we aim to provide support that feels personal, respectful, and empowering. Our role is to help families feel confident and connected, whether that’s through sharing information, signposting to helpful agencies or simply being there to talk things through.

We offer a range of opportunities for SEN families in the community to come together, including regular coffee mornings where parents and carers can meet, chat, and share experiences in a relaxed environment. We occasionally have guest speakers too. Throughout the year, we invite our school parents and carers to meet with visiting professionals to speak on topics such as incontinence, sensory stories, communication, wellbeing and more, ensuring families have access to practical advice and specialist knowledge.

The team also helps organise events and workshops that celebrate our community and provide ongoing support and learning. Everything we do is rooted in a holistic approach, recognising the importance of emotional, social and practical support for the whole family.

Above all, we are here to listen. At our school we believe that the strongest support for a child comes from home and school working closely together. Our Home School Support team are here to support every family in a warm, approachable and understanding way. Whether it is support at school or the everyday challenges you may face at home. We can signpost you to helpful agencies, share information, or simply be there for a chat.

Whatever you need, whatever questions you have, our door is always open. We’re proud to walk alongside you and build a positive, supportive link between home and school.
