Assessment Data KS2

Our approach to end of key stage two assessment is the same for all pupils, regardless of level of need.  All pupils in KS2 have either a Severe Learning Disability or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. 

Our assessments are based on pupils individualised targets as set out within their Educational Health Care Plan, (EHCP).  All learners EHCP outcomes are designed against the four SEND areas of need, as stated below these include; 

  • Communication & Interaction 
  • Cognition & Learning
  • Social, Emotional, Mental Health (including Self-Help)
  • Physical & Sensory 

Assessments are graded against their annual outcome with the following criteria; 

  • Blue- Exceeded Step 
  • Green- Achieved Step 
  • Yellow- Some Progress 
  • Red- No Progress 

End Of KS2 Assessments 2019/2020

Assessment results based on nine end of KS2 pupils during the academic year 2019/2020. 

Communication & Interaction 

  • 1 pupil exceeded annual outcome 
  • 6 pupils achieved annual outcome 
  • 2 pupils made some progress towards their annual outcome
  • 0 pupils made no progress towards their annual outcome 

Cognition & Learning 

  • 0 pupils exceeded their annual outcome
  • 5 pupils achieved their annual outcome
  • 4 pupils made some progress towards their annual outcome 
  • 0 pupils made no progress towards their annual outcome 

Social, Emotional, Mental Health (Including Self-Help)

  • 0 pupils exceeded their annual outcome 
  • 7 pupils achieved their annual outcome 
  • 2 pupils made some progress towards their annual outcome 
  • 0 pupils made no progress towards their annual outcome 

Physical and Sensory 

  • 1 pupil exceeded their annual outcome 
  • 5 pupils achieved their annual outcome 
  • 3 pupils made some progress towards their annual outcome
